Upcoming Event: Caregiver Workshops

General Overview of Workshop

These workshops are informative and interactive and focus on caregivers rather than on the individuals for whom they care.

Drawing from the fields of positive psychology, compassion science, and empowerment dynamics, we will discuss the signs and symptoms of caregiver burnout and explore strategies to cultivate resilience in the caregiving role. Caregiver resilience is the mindset and behaviors that enable us to achieve our life purpose, reach our goals, and bounce back from adversity. Cultivating resilience helps us survive our worst days with grace, and thrive every day with joy and compassion.

By focusing on their strengths and values, caregivers honor the inner wisdom and talents they bring to the caregiving relationship. By practicing self-compassion, caregivers gain awareness and understanding of the complexity of their own emotions as they care for loved ones. Self-compassion encourages caregivers to recognize that they are not alone in facing the demanding challenges of caregiving. As part of our common humanity, we all deserve and need the same kindness that we extend to others.

During the workshop, caregiver participants will have opportunities to share their experiences, explore their unique strengths and the benefits of establishing a self-compassion practice. Participants will create an individualized small-step action plan to help cultivate resilience. have fun and share in our conversation about the joys and challenges of compassionate caregiving. Understand  how to recognize and avoid caregiver burnout.

Dates, Times and Locations will be posted in June. For more information, email Rosemary at beyondwordswellness@gmail.com
